Paisley Party

It is getting close to Valentines Day and that means card making time for me.  These are two of the cards I made for Valentines Day using the Cricut Paisley Cartridge. You can tell these were taken before my new camera and set up for pictures I have now.  I made these for a bake sale to support ALS 3 years ago.  I had such fun with these they were some of my favorite cards from 3 years ago and I hope you enjoy them.

Tons of Love

You & Me

One card was an A2 and the other is a 5x5 .  Google eyes and ribbon. Flowers and black pearls are some of the accessories I used to make the cards so cute along with brads.  I used heat embossing for both of the sentiments.  The characters were cut out at 3 inches and there edges were inked.  Edgeing scissors were used on the top card and an ebossing folder on the bottom.  It has been a while so I am not sure where the paper came from.  I hope you enjoy them and they bring inspiration to someone.  I am always blessed to go onto the web and find more inspiration than I can even process.

Create a Critter 3

These are two cute cards I made using Create a Critter.  The first card is made with a pocket to hold either a note as I did or a gift card.  The second Card was mad using several different embellishments and techniques.  As always these are A2 size cards and the critters are cut out at size 3 in.  I hope you enjoy.

Hippo Love

With this card I used the swiss dots embossing folder, and the Martha Stewart border punch.  Flower brads and Googly Eyes.  The fold is from a You tube video I saw.

Love Ewe

On this card I used flocking, micro beads, heat embossing, glitter, googly eyes and brads for this fun play on a valentine card. Cuttlebug die-cuts for the flowers, and a punch for the heart.

I like to try all kinds of techniques and hope that these cards inspire you to try all kinds of different things when creating your cards.  As always thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Flower Power

It has been very rainy and cloudy for three days now so I have been inside playing. Today I have a card that I made for a friend, it is simple and colorful.  This card is good for gift card holding,  or to tuck a long letter in.  It is always a joy to make cards for friends.  I think that in today's world with all the technology we can loose the art of letter writing.  I hope you all take the time this week to write a friend just to say hello.

Blossoming Friendship

  • Whisper White, Pool Party Cherry Cobbler, and So Saffron card stock
  • Simply Scrappin Kit "Bandstand"
  • Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party, and So Saffron ink
  • Fancy Fan embossing folder
  • Sizzix scallop circle framelits, and Stampin Up circle framelits
  • Regarding Dahlias, Tiny Tags, and Betsy's Blossom
This is an A2 size card.  Cut the So Saffron at 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 then score at 1 1/2 and 4 1/4.  Emboss the
1 1/4 flap.  Cut Pool Party at 5 1/4 x 4.  Cut DSP of choice at 2 1/2 x 5 1/4.  Cut Cherry Cobbler at 4 1/2 x 3 1/2, and Whisper White at 4 1/4 x 3 1/4.  Stamp and cut flower at 1 inch, then Pool Party at 1 1/4 circle.  Cut So Saffron at 1 1/2 scallop.  I used some of the extras from the Simply Scrappin Kit for embellishments.  Fold the card in half and then fold flap down.  Adhere the Pool Party to the inside, and the DSP to the bottom half of the outside as seen above.  Tape the flap down, and then tape the two sides together by using a thin strip of tape on the two outside edges only, so it makes a pocket.  Then stamp the Sentiments on the Whisper White and adhere it to the Cherry Cobbler.  This now slides into the pocket.  Assemble medallion and stamp the small tag.  This is such a fun layout and card,  I hope you will try it.`

Create a Critter 2

This is two versions of the same card made for two different occasions, the first one went to a niece that was wand to get a part in her school play and the second one was for a friends babys 1st birthday.  I just love the layout of the card and the moons face is so cute.  I like to show you different cards sometimes but I also like to show you with different paper and sayings the same card can be used for many occasions and people

Ships in the Night

Hello everyone,  this is a card made for a man that used a previous sketch I had used.  I just love to play around with different layouts, and stamps.  The combos are limited by your imagination only.  I find masculine cards very challenging for some reason.  I hope you enjoy this card, and see all the different possibilities in colors, and stamps you can use with this particular layout.

Down by the Sea

  • Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, Bashful Blue, Midnight Muse, and Very Vanilla card stock
  • Soft Suede, Bashful Blue Ink
  • Chevron, and Decorative Dots embossing folders
  • Button, and Linen Thread
  • The Open Sea, and By The Tide Stamp Sets
This is an A2 size card, and the pennants are 1 inch wide various lengths. The circles range from 2 3/8 inches to 3/4 of an inch in diameter. I really like this particular layout for its versatility.  It allows you to use quite a few of your stamps on one card.

As always thank you for stopping by and taking a look I really appreciate it.  Enjoy your day and be creative, take time for yourself.
